SKUNKED!

The following IBM stations participated but were not able to work any stations.  Poor propagation is a major reason for this.  Had we scheduled one week earlier it would have been a different story.

SOAPBOX:

AA6Z:  It was great to hear lots of good activity and reasonable conditions this year.  After two years hiatus I wasn’t sure how things would go.  I missed a few callsigns that I have worked lots in the past, but the propagation was somewhat funny.  Thanks to all who participated.

W0RY:  Fun to be in the IQP once again with an antenna (20 mtr dipole laying on the shingles of roof).

W0CJ:  Conditions were a bit odd but it was fun to work everyone that we could.

VE9IBM:  This was our first attempt at this contest. I had a couple of old friends who recently retired from IBM and got their Ham license, so this was a good introduction to contesting and logging for them.

W5PDB:  Well, at least I was present.  K2CIB and W0CJ didn’t hear my PSK signal on 20 meters.

G2DSY:  The sun did not fall kindly upon us, but as always I enjoyed the event.  Here the LF bands were pretty dead in the early hours.  The HF bands were not very active until 12:00 when the Ukrdainian contest started and Middle Eastern stations were heard.  15 M sounded the most promising and about 1500 it began to open up to the States.  As the Grey Line went through I worked AA6Z and the other stations and nothing after that.

K0VH:  Many thanks to all who organized and participated in the 2012 event. I was on mostly from 1400-2300z 20-10m SSB and some psk31 too. I really enjoyed working many IBMers and it was great to work a few in EU, SA & one ZL despite erratic HF propagation. Please send me any comments for future IQPs.

K2CIB:  Really enjoyed getting together again in a mini-contest.  Met many old friends and made a few ones.  Conditions stunk, but did what we could! Running 300W and vertical

W0LY:  Great Event!

JF3GFH/1:  This is the first time for me to take part in the IBM QP.  I'd like to make more contacts next year!
