SOAPBOX COMMENTS

AA6Z : Much better conditions for SSB than CW and lots more participation. Very nice European opening for West Coast for those that stayed on to work it, and great to hear all the ZL activity.

SM5CS: Only 4 QSO's with an antenna halfway down. Anyway I did participate. 73 de Stig

W0RY: I am pleased with the use IRB for the IQP.

W0CJ: Very nice QSO Party! Thanks to all who participated!

K1ER: Only able to get on for a few minutes on 20 meters.

OH2LU: Great activity on SSB part. Thank you again for the arrangements.

73 de Tapani/OH2LU

K2CIB: Nice party, considering the mostly rotten conditions.  Would have liked more 40 and 80 contacts. Heard the Argentina station on 15, but guys kept chatting and I couldnt break in.  I dont think they heard him. Had a hard time finding a clear frequency on 20.  We need to expand the SSB another 5 KHz in each direction.  Ill put a note on the reflector. Thanks for doing the scoring! 73, John

WA5LOC: Great to hear everyone on the air, I haven't been able to make the Sat. net for some time now, and will not be in there for a while!

LU7DSU: I don't know why I couldnt work any US stations this time

G2DSY: Enjoyed meeting old friends. Thanks to you all for organising the event. Sorry to say the info got to me too late for the CW event. Look forward to next time.

K4LEF: Limited operating time due to sked dinner party. Enjoyed reliving the
good ole days in the old FE Divison.

DL6DZ: all contacts made with maximum 6 watts rf. Antennas used: 40m : lambda/2 dipole (2 x 10.10 m) feed via rg58c/u (no balun), 20m & 15m : lambda/2 folded dipole,inverted-v,indoor, via rg58c/u,1:4 balun

SM0UCC: I was involved in a Hobby fair here in Stockholm during the IBM QSO Party - SSB, November 4, 2006 so I could not attend the party. The fair station 8S0OHM was operated by scouts but at 1200 I borrowed the station, but the noise and QRM was strong so I could only make one contact.

SOAPBOX COMMENTS

AA6Z : Unfortunately I had a scheduling conflict and missed the last half of the day. I heard NO IBM activity on 40 or 80 meters, and No European IBM activity on 20 meters. I heard no IBM stations between 1400z and 1700z. I assume the poor propagation was partly responsible, as well as interference from the CQWW non-US phone stations in the CW band. It was nice to hear a few new stations on RTTY.

OH2LU: Thank you for arranging another get-together for the fraternity. Prime time absence precluded more activity. Hope to hear more stations in the SSB part.

73 de Tapani/OH2LU

W0RY: Using Internet Remote Base

K2CIB: Not enough activity!

SOAPBOX:

AA6Z The propagation conditions seemed better this year, at least for the first day of the QP. Participation seemed good from the US this year thanks to Rogers efforts. I had rig problems which cut my participation short this year. I hope the participants will communicate their feelings on the 2x24 hr. vs. 1x48 hr. QP, and also the combined modes.

W7LZ Let's not have any more 48 hour contests, there just are not enough IBMers on HF for that length of contest. Let's go back to two separate 24 hour contests. Let's not have any more combined digital and SSB contests.

K0TW - Worked four stations within the first hour of QP. I was on and off the radio throughout weekend but heard no one after the first hour.

N4PCF - Fun contest, nice people playing, wish we'd had more IBMer's on voice on 80m and 15m!!

OH2LU - Based on this event's experience 48 hr fformat is awfully long for a small active population. After Saturday's quite good activity Sunday was a disaster. I suggest returning to 24 hr format including all three modes: SSB, CW and RTTY. One Saturday in the Spring and another Saturday in the Fall. Anyway, thank you for organizing this event giving an opportunity to meet old and some brand new friends!

73 and Happy Easter de Tapani/OH2LU.

DL6DZ - All contacts made with maximum 6 watts rrf 20m : lambda/2 folded dipole, inverted-v, indoor, via rg58c/u,1:4 balun

Bad conditions and very low activity. I was on the station all day until 18:30 utc and could hear only those IBM'ers I had worked already. I was mostly on 40m and worked

several european stations (no ibm'er). On sunday I spent some time on 80m very early and on 40m/20m later on until about 08:00 utc, but no IBM'ers heard.

OH5BM - first time in IQP, - FUN

G3ZQC - SOAPBOX: Only had a little time to operate - Saturday and Sunday afternoon, so missed all the 'excitement'. With conditions and (IBM) activity the way they, are would prefer 2 x 24 hour sessions - one phone the other cw/data/rtty(?). What about a 'prefered' calling frequency (+/- qrm)? 73 Jim (G3ZQC)

VE3EVV - I wonder where the birdies went. I just heard the one US station on. Noise level was high up here. Maybe next party will be different.

JA8EDS - The band condx were not very good and I had S7-S8 noise. So I wasnt aware that the freq I called CQ was occupied by special event station in USA. Echo link was helpful. Thank you Gordy to help finding clear spot. I was happy to contact with two stations from China and some stations in USA under this poor condx. .
